The mission of NCADA-BA is to reduce the prevalence and consequences of the disease of alcoholism, primarily, and of other drug addiction diseases. In pursuit of this mission, NCADA-BA seeks to prevent the disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions, educates the public about alcoholism and other drug addictions and encourages proper diagnosis, treatment, and continuum of care for individuals and families affected by alcoholism and other drug addictions.
NCADA-BA services are also aimed at the related problem of co-dependence, based on the understanding that recovery from co-dependence is as important as recovery from addiction.
