3. History of the Institution

IEL was founded in 2003 in response to the lack of quality English language and computer training in Cambodia. With modern facilities, highly motivated staff, and dedication to quality education, IEL quickly established itself as one of the premier English and computer training centers in the country and has attracted more than 2600 students in recent terms.

4. Teachers and Staff

IEL employs approximately 30 expatriate and 35 Cambodian teachers. Our expatriate teachers are mostly native speakers and all are qualified as teachers of English as a Foreign Language. They come from a variety of countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, and England. The average teaching experience of our expatriate teachers is five years.

IEL also employs Cambodian citizens as teachers and in administrative positions. The Cambodian teachers of English are qualified with a Bachelor's Degree in Education specializing in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). The Cambodian computer teachers are qualified with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or higher. The average teaching experience of our Cambodian teachers is six years.

All teachers at IEL are committed to providing the best possible education to our students. We hold workshops regularly and our teachers attend national and international English language teaching conferences in order to continuously improve their teaching skills. IEL only employs teachers who have a great deal of experience, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic.
