Acerca de
The purpose of the Youth Empowerment, Education and Resources (YEER) Program is to instill self-respect, self-worth, and professionalism in high school students of Metro-Detroit. This organization shall be to encourage high school students to invest in themselves and give back to their communities.
The objectives of this organization are as follows:
- to provide STD/HIV prevention in order to combat the rising HIV rates in Detroit teenagers
- to teach communication skills and professional behavior
- to empower youth with the resources and motivation to invest in themselves and their communities
- to give back to Metro-Detroit by means of outreach projects and donations
- to teach youth how to establish and maintain healthy personal and professional relationships
- to motivate students to maximize the resources they have and how to create new opportunities
- to encourage youth to seek knowledge and utilize resources available
- and more
