Established in 2009, Wikimedia New York City (WMNYC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and local Chapter of the Wikimedia Movement dedicated to serving and growing a richer and more representative free knowledge ecosystem. WMNYC brings New Yorkers together in collaborative environments that advance open content and communities in partnership with the peoples and institutions of the greater New York metropolitan area.
