Manos Unidas International

Manos Unidas International is a U.S. based, Washington state registered 501(c)(3) non-profit with the mission to provide for humanitarian, educational, and social needs of children with intellectual disabilities and their families. The primary objective is to assist and supplement local organizations within Latin America who share the same mission through financial assistance, skills training and personal empowerment.

MUI was founded by local Seattle resident and University of Washington graduate Celeste Marion in 2014 and consists of a 10 member board of directors, primarily based in the pacific northwest. MUI has been a fundraising arm for the special needs school Celeste founded in Peru in 2009. Today MUI supports the school in Peru with funding, professional development training and program governance.

MUI is expanding its capacity to broaden impact for more children across Latin America via a distance learning program directed at professional service providers of children and youth with disabilities in a variety of Latin American countries. Learn more at: www.manosunidasperu.org
