Cloudbridge offers a rich experience in a beautiful and biodiverse part of the world, whether you want to do your own research; contribute to some of our existing, ongoing research projects; or contribute your existing skills and learn new ones while volunteering or conducting your own research. While at the reserve, you’ll meet and work with like-minded people from all over the world, each with a passion for the environment and their own experiences and expertise to share.
The volunteer or intern experience gained here often furthers academic or career goals. However, you do not need a background in biology or environmental studies in order to contribute. Whatever your skills are, we can put them to good use!

Cloudbridge is a private nature reserve in Costa Rica. It was created to preserve and reforest an important gap in the cloud forest adjoining the Chirripo National Park, on the slopes of Mt. Chirripo, the highest peak in Costa Rica.
The main purpose of the reserve is to help rebuild a part of the tropical cloud forest, bridging a gap between two mountainside forests. As well as protecting the existing forest and allowing natural regrowth, we are planting a mix of native trees, thousands of them, to turn pasture back into forest.
The local community's participation in the project is an integral aspect, and the reserve includes a project of sustainable reforestation for future harvesting.
Cloudbridge welcomes volunteers and interns to assist with scientific research, tree planting, and trail maintenance.
