The Global Livingston Institute (GLI) is a community-based research institute developing
strategic partnerships in East Africa and in the United States with a focus on education and
social impact. Since 2009, GLI has worked alongside our partners to promote a variety of social
impact projects geared toward sustainability and job creation. Modeled after the Aspen
Institute, GLI creates a ‘place at the table’ for students and community leaders to devise
innovative solutions to complex issues. The organization works in two core areas of focus:
Education (Listen, Think) and Social Impact (Act).
