Allendale Association is a private, not-for-profit organization located in Lake Villa,IL. Founded in 1897, Allendale is dedicated to serving troubled youth and their families. The main programs include a residential treatment center, educational services, and clinical and community services. The children and families served are managing mental health needs such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, adjustment and attachment disorders, and more.
Our residential program provides intensive treatment to at-risk youth who have severe emotional and behavioral disorders. Both boys and girls reside with us, ranging in age from 7 – 21. There are approximately 100 residents on our campus in Lake Villa, Illinois. Allendale Association also has group homes in Waukegan and Highland Park, as well as small residential facilities in Benet Lake,WI, Zion,IL and North Chicago,IL. We also have youth in specialized foster care in homes located in Cook, Lake and McHenry Counties.
