Founded in 2008, the Port Townsend School of Woodworking has become one of the leading woodworking schools in the Pacific NW. The School offers transformative experiences to a diverse community of students . Our courses create a powerful connection between head, heart, hands and wood through an emphasis on craftsmanship using traditional techniques and hand tools. The courses include a 12-week Foundations of Woodworking class (with vocational and college credit options); two-day to four-week classes in hand-tool woodworking, furniture and cabinet making, carving, Northwest Coast Arts, woodturning, gypsy wagon and tiny home construction.
