Descripción

The Bretton Woods Committee (BWC), the preeminent non-profit organization dedicated to effective global economic and financial cooperation, seeks a Membership & Operations Associate to join our team and support membership and office operations.

This individual will act as the primary point of contact for all member service requests and will provide exceptional customer service and hospitality. Internally, the individual will assist the team in managing the day-to-day functions of membership, IT, and office operations to make the organization run smoothly.

This is an ideal position for a young professional eager to get substantial experience at a non-profit organization. Candidates who are self-starters, learn quickly and have strong organizational or project management skills will excel in our fast-paced and growing organization. Responsibilities

Membership

  • Responsible for all incoming member phone calls and customer service requests
  • Manage BWC’s general email inboxes
  • Process membership renewals and payments
  • Anticipate questions and provide timely, accurate information to members and assist with their understanding of the value of membership in BWC.
  • Provides support to the Director of Membership and Giving in tracking membership and revenue data and statistics
  • Assists in drafting and proofing various member communications
  • Plays a key role in executing annual membership renewal and recruiting campaigns as well as regular fundraising drives
  • Provides support for membership event logistics

Operations

  • Establish and maintain relationships with all vendors and contractors including management of outsourced IT teams.
  • Maintain and update BWC website to reflect accurate membership benefits, rosters, and other information as needed.
  • Lead the management of all database operations including data entry, data analysis, data quality assurance, and data reporting functions, including monthly financial reports.
  • Serves as an advocate for data stewardship, both within and outside of the database, recommending best practices and creating and documenting procedures.
  • Provides general administrative support such as, but not limited to mailings, accounting processes (expense reports, invoice processing, etc.) opening and distributing mail appropriately, conference call scheduling and setup, coordination of staff travel arrangements, ordering office supplies, replacing equipment as needed, and various administrative paperwork.
  • Provides scheduling assistance and coordination to staff as required.
  • Supports HR functions such as tracking staff PTO.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize competing projects.
  • A proactive and self-starter nature.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (experience utilizing mail merge a plus).
  • Experience with web-based contact databases (CRM).
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, WordPress and basic HTML, and bulk email platforms such as Mailchimp.
  • Experience working in context of senior officials and C-suite executives while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience; prior operational or member services experience preferred.
  • Degree in international affairs (economics, development, etc.), business, finance, administration, non-profit management, or related fields preferred;
  • Interest in global financial issues and/or international development a plus.

Position is DMV-based. Work is mostly done remotely, with two in-person days currently required per week for DMV-based staff (subject to change).

Salary and Benefits

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 dependent upon experience; employer sponsored health care, dental, & vision, 401k plans; paid vacation/sick leave; 15 paid holidays.
