    Role Summary:

    Reporting to the Class Success Manager, and working closely with the entire Financial Beginnings team, the Class Success Coordinator will support all regional efforts (administrative, logistical, programmatic) to successful delivery of our programs. This includes class scheduling, workbook shipment, volunteer placement and support and overall volunteer management and stewardship. Additionally, the Class Success Coordinator will support fulfillment of relevant sponsorship deliverables and benefits

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all scheduled classes have volunteers assigned.
    • Ensure volunteers are prepared to be successful in the classroom.
    • Ensure all classroom materials are shipped in advance of each class.
    • Support Class Success Manager in engaging with sponsors to fulfill benefits and increase employee engagement in volunteerism.
    • Support cultivation, stewardship and growth of our volunteer pool.
    • Ensure our volunteers are celebrated and see the impact of their service.
    • Support Market Managers to schedule classes.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Ability to thrive and adapt to a changing environment.
    • Comfortable collaborating online and/or working remotely.
    • Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office, G Suite, Box, CRM databases, etc.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
    • Pro-actively identify solutions to challenges.
    • Able to juggle competing priorities
    • Strong communication skills, including presentation skills
    • Ability to work independently and be accountable for program goals

    Special Considerations and Preferences

    • A positive and collegial attitude.
    • Recognition of education’s value; passion for working with community and underserved populations.
    • Strong support for our equity statement and our theory of change.
    • Understanding of personal finance fundamentals, preferred, but not required.
    • Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus, but not required.

    Compensation, Benefits and Work Details:

    • Salary Range: $42,000-$62,000
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week, hours can be flexible around core meeting times. Occasional need for evening and/or weekend meetings or events.
    • Status: Full-time
    • Travel: Occasional if needed to support programs and steward partners.
    • Financial Beginnings employees start with 20 days of Paid Time Off, 12 paid holidays and 3 paid floating holidays.
    • Monthly communication allotment –for internet and cell phone use
    • 6% employer matched 401k, eligible immediately
    • 100% paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employee
    • Flexible Spending Account for medical and childcare expenses

    Many Financial Beginnings staff and teams currently work 100% remotely with those staff residing in the Portland, OR metro area working periodically in the Financial Beginnings office. Staff working 100% remotely are asked to visit the organization’s home office in Portland, OR at least once a year.
