    Cedar River Montessori is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week during 10-month school year) Development and Marketing Manager to oversee gifts, donor relationships, annual gala planning and execution, and marketing.     Principal Responsibilities:

    • Establish short and long term fundraising objectives with Head of School and Board of Directors that align with the strategic plan
    • Strategize and execute focused appeals to boost funding, including capital campaign, annual appeal, and annual gala
    • Research and apply for potential sources of grants and public funding, and oversee grant implementation and reporting requirements
    • Lead planning, procurement, and event management for annual Gala in coordination with leadership and volunteers
    • Working with the business office manager, ensure that data related to prospects and donors is recorded and tracked, manage the development database Raiser’s Edge to ensure data integrity and security
    • Identify and build new donor relationships while maintaining ongoing ones
    • Oversee all parts of new capital campaign, including but not limited to, case for support, capital campaign communications plan, drafting and execution of capital campaign gift agreements and implementation of donor recognition plans
    • Evaluate progress towards goals and benchmarks and prepare and present periodic reports to the business office manager and Board of Directors
    • Prepare marketing and fundraising materials including advertisements, signage, invitations, and correspondence
    • Build community connections and name recognition through social media and other marketing
    • Always maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity
    • Other duties as assigned to meet organizational and fundraising goals

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required
    • A minimum of two years of nonprofit administration or fundraising experience, and demonstrated success in event management

    Related Skills and Knowledge:

    • Creativity, initiative, follow-through, and excellent organizational skills are required
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required
    • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively internally with Cedar River Montessori as well as with supporters and external partners are required
    • Ability to multi-task effectively, including having good planning skills and ability to work well under pressure are required
    • Strong computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and graphic design skills are required
    • Experience with Raiser’s Edge donor database is highly desirable
    • Excellent storytelling skills through written and visual media

    Other:

    Occasional night and weekend work to support events is required.

    Compensación

    Opportunity to work remotely for most responsibilities. Matching retirement, paid professional development, and paid time off. This is a part-time commitment to working for the 10-month academic year.
