The mission of Volunteer Maryland, an AmeriCorps program, is to build stronger, healthier communities by developing volunteer programs that meet critical needs in the areas of education, economic opportunity, health futures, veterans and the environment. We provide extensive training in volunteer management and nonprofit culture, a living stipend of $17,600, education award of $6,895, health coverage, student loan deferment, and childcare assistance.
