Center for Health Information and Analysis

  • Acerca de

The mission of the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is to monitor the Massachusetts health care system and to provide reliable information and meaningful analysis for those seeking to improve health care quality, affordability, access, and outcomes.

CHIA was established as an independent agency of the Commonwealth as a result of the health care reform law signed by Governor Patrick on August 6, 2012 to improve health care quality and contain health care costs. Prior to the passage of this law, most of the functions and responsibilities of CHIA were performed by its predecessor, the Division of Health Care Finance and Policy.
