MC2 STEM High School, part of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District Office of New and Innovative Schools, is a year round school that provides a college preparatory STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education to all with a focus on issues of Energy and Sustainability. The mission of this school is to prepare graduates for college and work and life in the 21st century through a focused program of rigorous academic study in small project-based learning communities coupled with internships/fellowships, early college, and STEM-specific mentoring. The school is partnered with industry, higher education, and community organizations that support project-based learning experiences where teachers and students use the world as their learning platform for innovation and invention. Teachers work with the faculty across disciplines to develop the academic program and teach collaboratively.
