Artisans
Angkor is a Cambodian social enterprise which was originally created to help
young people find work near their home village in Siem Reap province. As the
offshoot of an educational project, it
aims at providing professional skills to rural communities and
provides them with employment opportunities in the handicraft sector. Since its
creation, Artisans Angkor has pioneered a new social policy in Cambodia by
guaranteeing a competitive compensation package including healthcare and social
advantages to its artisans. Over the years, Artisans Angkor has strived for a
fair development of Khmer Arts and Crafts and has become a real showcase of
Cambodian craftsmanship.
