TravelAble is one of the few solely accessible travel agency serving families nationwide! With many years experience living and traveling internationally with a medically-fragile child, we have experienced the challenges of traveling with disability. Our mission is to create a travelable world by providing customized adventures that perfectly support a traveler’s unique desires, accessibility needs, and budget.
Sarah Marshall, owner, is a Certified Travel Associate, as well as a mom to a wonderful young man with autism and related developmental challenges. She created this business to serve the disability community as both a resource and a job possibility for her son, who may not be able to work a traditional job.
To complete her mission, she does the following things within her business:
She currently holds the following specializations: Certified Autism Travel Professional (IBCCES); Certified Accessible Travel Advocate (SNG); as well as numerous disability-friendly cruiselines and destinations.
Starting in 2021, TravelAble will be bringing on 10 founding agents to expand the reach and mission of the company. We envision that these agents will be from all walks of life, including young adults or adults with autism or other disabilities that would like a work-from-home, income generating opportunity for themselves.
It bears explaining that TravelAble or Sarah Marshall does not get financial benefit from the agents. At this time, they are making their own income and TravelAble does not profit from it. However, because we are a for-profit company, we aren't eligible for 503(C) status.
