Kilimanjaro Green Energy is a social enterprise focusing on bringing exciting solar products to the rural and semi urban communities of Kenya. Our mission is to bring affordable, flexible and quality solar products to the people of Kenya that are looking beyond simple solar lanterns. Solar lanterns provide light, but we would like to provide life. We believe that access to affordable energy will empower our communities and we feel confident that our product will deliver just that. Our solar systems enable customers to engage in income generating activities leading to self reliance and sustainability. We work with women and youth to support them to start small businesses using our systems such as barber shops and laundry businesses. Empowering communities by providing them the means to engage in income generating activities is a key focus for Kilimanjaro Green Energy.
