Overview of the position

The Technical Consultant will help us develop a technology plan for our founder-run startup in the education and social enterprise space. The Consultant will focus on both internal and external components. They will analyze our operational needs for automation and efficiency. They will also put together a plan for using AI and automation in product development (content development and functionality). A third part of this role is to outline a data architecture that can be implemented by a third party - we have a plethora of data from clients that we believe can be structured for better service, insights, and development.

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Deliver quick wins on operations and technology to increase efficiency, speed, and capacity
• Evaluate tech stack and workflows of the organization with support from internal teams and recommend optimizations
• Identify the right data infrastructure for the organization and prepare a plan for a third party to implement
• Help identify third party implementation specialist(s) to execute on the technology and data plans
• Provide strategic guidance to the CEO on use of AI and technology in development of products and services

Qualifications:

• Degree in technology or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a technology consulting role for non-tech small businesses
• Experience with change management
• Multi-country experience a plus
• Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
• Experiencing scaling small business operations into larger companies
• Experience with learning and educational software a plus
• Broad familiarity with latest capabilities of generative AI and deep understanding of GPTs, including building specific GPTs for identified tasks\
• Ability to imagine realistic business applications that increase operational efficiencies and to articulate development plans
