Maya Lin Elementary is a highly diverse, arts-integration public k-5 school in Alameda, CA. It's beautiful garden is an outdoor classroom that engages children in projects and discovery, reinforcing instruction of all subjects and especially science and nutrition.
Our PTA raises money every year to support a part-time Garden Educator contract position at the school to teach classes and work with our teachers and principal to integrate science instruction outside in the garden "laboratory".
