Come help people with disabilites ride and enjoy our horses!

Interested in working with people with challenges?

Join our vibrant volunteer community on a beautiful horse farm! Windrush Farm is a therapeutic riding center helping people with all kinds of challenges in their lives. Our mission is to promote confidence, independence and well-being in children and adults with physical, cognitive or emotional challenges through therapeutic riding and horse related programs.

Side walkers assist our riders during their lesson, everything from helping them physically on the horse to giving them encouragement and emotional support. They focus on the rider and create enduring relationships with them!

Horse handlers are responsible for bringing our horses down to the arena for the lesson, and leading and managing the horse during the lesson. Horse handlers will need to learn our horsemanship techniques to keep handling skills consistent for our horses.

The minimum age for horse handlers is 14.

We typically need volunteers in 1 hour classes Monday through Friday between 8:30- 6:30pm.

Please email us at volunteer@windrushfarm.org. or sign up at https://www.windrushfarm.org/volunteer-registration/
