Volunteer Social Media Specialist

    Description

    Richmond Music School has two openings for volunteers to help us to create and manage all the social media campaigns and generate more viewers on our social media platforms.  This is a remote position with flexible hours. 

    Richmond Music School is a charitable organization, established in 1979 in Richmond, BC, with the goal of providing the highest level of musical education to people of all ages. Through private and group lessons, both theoretical and practical, we strive to enrich the lives of our students, community and society as a whole.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including text posts, images, videos, and infographics
    • Develop and implement social media strategies to promote the school and drive engagement
    • Interact with followers on different platforms

    Knowledge & experience:

    • Creativity is essential 
    • Knowledge of Canva or other design software is preferred
    • Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role 
    • Proficient in using various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram etc)
    • Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)

    Expected time commitment: 1 – 3 hours per week.
