Garlic Mustard Pull at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park in

Join Great River Greening at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park for a special volunteer opportunity! Help preserve the rare Dwarf Trout Lily by joining our Garlic Mustard pulling event. Together, let's protect this unique species and the beautiful Big Woods woodland. Thank you for making a difference in conservation while enjoying a rewarding day in nature!

Volunteers will hike ½ mile into our work area on a well-maintained trail with easy-to-moderate hills. Park restrooms are available on site. 

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the starting time.

This is a family-friendly event. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to attend. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary, we will provide the tools and training required.  

Please bring your own reusable water bottle and any additional snacks or lunch items you may need. in addition, bring your work/gardening gloves if you have them, if not they will be provided. 

Once you have registered via GivePulse, organizers from Great River Greening will approve your registration and you will receive confirmation. You will continue to receive event reminders as the event nears.
