    Description

    Paid Community Educator Position

Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) is seeking 4 to 5 part-time Community Educators to support a fast-growing education program that engages over 35 K-8 schools and a variety of youth groups each year across 21 municipalities. Community educators will primarily facilitate small group activities during school programs, with most work occurring annually during the spring semester from April to June. Educators are encouraged to shadow programming during the fall semester (September to December) in order to gain skills in facilitation early in the school year. Other community outreach opportunities (i.e., educational tabling) will be available throughout the school year as well.

This position is ideal for those available during the school day, have previous experience working with youth and, preferably, some knowledge of watershed ecology and conservation. We value skills in communication & outreach, facilitation, program planning, teamwork, and creativity! This is a contract-based paid volunteer position with MyRWA with an annual stipend of $2,000.

Please submit an application via Google Forms here by August 1st to share your interest in this position. Feel free to email Education Manager Natalia Bayona at Natalia.Bayona@mysticriver.org with any questions you may have about the application or position expectations.

We look forward to working with you!
