    Description

Voting Rights & Registration Volunteer Training - Seattle

Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness is an 501c3 nonprofit organization that does policy advocacy and community engagement work to support people experiencing homelessness and their service providers in King County.

One of our most directly impactful activities is Voting Rights and Registration engagement, where we engage with community members with lived experience of homelessness in service site locations to help them be informed of their rights and share nonpartisan information about how they can make their voice heard.

As we approach the August 6th Primary Election, we are seeking volunteers to help us increase our impact. We are hosting TWO in-person Volunteer Trainings in Seattle and South King County to prepare new and returning volunteers on the basics of voting significance, eligibility, registration, casting ballots, and using trauma-informed language.

    Our trainings will be on:

Attending one of these trainings will prepare you to volunteer at homeless service sites around King County as we engage community members with housing barriers and empower them to vote.
