    Description

    Museum House Tour Guide

Built in 1891, it is the oldest house in Miami-Dade County, still in its original location. The Barnacle was the home of Ralph Middleton Munroe, one of Coconut Grove's founders, as well as the founder and Commodore of the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club. An interesting fact about the house is that it is a two-story home. The top floor is the original first floor, built in 1891, and the bottom floor is the second floor, built in 1908.
