    Description

    We are in search of a dynamic Volunteer Media Outreach Coordinator who is passionate about making a difference through effective communication and media relations. This role is pivotal in expanding our outreach, engaging with media, and amplifying the voice of Nova Ukraine within the U.S. market. The ideal candidate will have a flair for crafting compelling narratives and a proactive approach to media

    Requirements:

    • Passionate about humanitarian causes and knowledgeable about issues impacting Ukraine.
    • Proven track record in media relations, communications, or a similar role, with demonstrated success in media pitching and outreach.
    • Strong existing network within the U.S. media landscape and proven ability to build new media contacts.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of crafting and conveying compelling stories.
    • Strategic thinker with a creative approach to media relations and digital engagement.
    • Proficient in using social media and digital communication tools.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Fluency in English; proficiency in Ukrainian is welcomed but not required.
    • Be consistent and reliable with a weekly 5-hour commitment
    • Attend 1 marketing team meeting per week minimum; we have 2 meetings overall (Wednesday and Friday)
    • Knows how to work with the team remotely through Slack and Asana.

    Responsibilities:

    • Craft compelling stories and narratives about our initiatives and pitch them to targeted U.S. media outlets, including print, digital, radio, and television.
    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with media professionals to enhance ongoing media coverage.
    • Produce and disseminate high-quality press materials, including press releases and media kits.
    • Monitor social media trends and engage with platforms to elevate our digital presence and interaction.
    • Track media coverage, analyze outreach efforts, and refine strategies based on performance data.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all media channel.

    Working terms:

    • Volunteer.
    • 5 hour a week commitment.
    • Needs to notify team of leaving 2 weeks in advance.
