Fundraising Specialists (Volunteer) [4-5 Needed]

Job Description: The DMV Music Alliance is looking for individuals to work as part of a team to help our organization meet funding goals and support the organization's mission.

Team members can choose to work on one or more of the following types of fundraising:

• Private and public grants
• Social Media campaigns
• Corporate sponsorships
• Crowdfunding platforms
• Philanthropy
• Fundraising events

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management and fundraising strategists to develop and implement effective strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Research and identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
• Coordinate and manage fundraising campaigns, including online giving, crowdfunding, and special fundraising events.
• Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling fundraising materials.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's CRM database.
• Identify and build relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
• Develop strategies to engage and steward donors, including personalized acknowledgments, donor recognition programs, and regular updates on the impact of their contributions.

Requirements:

• Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging and innovative ideas.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and volunteers.
• Exceptional technological, organizational and project management abilities
• Understanding of ethical fundraising practices and donor stewardship.
• Passion for the organization's mission and the ability to effectively communicate its impact to donors and stakeholders.
