About the Board

The Board of Directors is vital in guiding ABG Special Education Consulting's mission to empower parents and caregivers of children with special needs. Board members provide strategic direction, ensure good governance, and contribute to the organization's sustainability and growth.

• President/Chairman
• Secretary
• Treasurer/CFO

General Responsibilities

All Board Members will share the following responsibilities:

• Attend quarterly Board meetings and participate actively in discussions and decision-making.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan.
• Oversee the organization's governance and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Serve as an ambassador for ABG Special Education Consulting in the community.
• Participate in fundraising initiatives to support the organization's mission.

President/Chairman

• Leads and chairs Board meetings, ensuring efficient and productive discussions.
• Represents the Board to the organization's staff, donors, and the community.
• Works closely with the Executive Director to set strategic direction and ensure alignment with the mission.
• May serve as a spokesperson for the organization.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and governance experience.
• Proven ability to build consensus and manage diverse perspectives.
• Deep understanding of the non-profit sector and fundraising best practices.
• Passion for ABG Special Education Consulting's mission.
