Volunteer Manager

Position Summary:

EmpowerHer is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Volunteer Manager to join our team. The Volunteer Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our volunteer program. This individual will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, ensuring they are effectively utilized and supported in their roles. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a passion for empowering women, and a commitment to the mission of EmpowerHer.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Volunteer Recruitment:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy.
• Identify and reach out to potential volunteers through various channels (e.g., social media, community events, local organizations).
• Conduct interviews and screening processes to select suitable candidates.

1. Volunteer Training and Development:

• Organize and conduct orientation sessions for new volunteers.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance volunteer skills and knowledge.
• Create and distribute training materials and resources.

1. Volunteer Coordination:

• Develop and maintain a volunteer schedule, ensuring adequate coverage for all programs and events.
• Assign volunteers to specific tasks and projects based on their skills and interests.
• Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance, providing feedback and support as needed.

1. Volunteer Retention and Recognition:

• Implement strategies to retain volunteers and maintain high levels of engagement and satisfaction.
• Plan and execute volunteer appreciation events and recognition programs.
• Address volunteer concerns and resolve conflicts promptly and effectively.

1. Program Support:

• Collaborate with program managers and staff to identify volunteer needs and develop volunteer roles.
• Ensure volunteers are well-integrated into the organization and aligned with our mission and values.
• Track and report on volunteer activities, hours, and contributions.

1. Community Outreach:

• Build and maintain relationships with community partners and organizations to expand volunteer opportunities.
• Represent EmpowerHer at community events and networking opportunities to promote our volunteer program.

1. Administrative Duties:

• Maintain accurate volunteer records and databases.
• Prepare reports and presentations on volunteer program metrics and outcomes.
• Assist with budget planning and resource allocation for the volunteer program.
