    Job Description: The DMV Music Alliance is looking for someone to help our organization apply, receive, and manage grants. Your primary objective will be to research funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and maintain strong relationships with funders. You will work closely with the fundraising team to meet funding goals and support the organization's mission.


    Responsibilities:


    • Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations.
    • Evaluate eligibility criteria, submission deadlines, and application requirements.
    • Collaborate with management to gather information on program goals, outcomes, and budgetary needs.
    • Develop and write compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder guidelines and requirements.
    • Collaborate with the program staff and finance team to develop accurate and detailed budgets for grant proposals.
    • Ensure that the budget aligns with the proposed activities and addresses the specific financial requirements of each grant opportunity.
    • Monitor grant reporting deadlines and requirements.
    • Coordinate with program staff and finance team to gather necessary data and information for grant reports.
    • Prepare and submit accurate and timely grant reports, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines and reporting requirements.
    • Seek opportunities for engagement and stewardship activities to cultivate ongoing support from funders.
    • Track and manage grant proposals and reporting timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of grant submissions, funding history, and outcomes.
    • Stay updated on changes in grant regulations and reporting requirements.


    Requirements:


    • Proven experience in grant writing and successful grant acquisition, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
    • Strong research skills to identify relevant funding opportunities.
    • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive proposals.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple grant applications simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and budgeting skills to develop accurate and compelling grant budgets.
    • Knowledge of grant regulations, reporting requirements, and compliance procedures.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and funders.
