    Description

    Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues. 

    Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.  

    Our mission is to teach SEL at every school in the country. It is a tough challenge, but we know “No Challenge, No Change.” If you are also concerned about children’s mental health and social being, join us!     Resilience offers volunteer programs that require at least a 4 month commitment with a minimum of 5 hours per week. There are flexible start and end dates with the option to continue after meeting the minimum requirement

    There is the opportunity to earn school credit. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.

    Responsibilities and Activities:

    - Design and deliver comprehensive SEL curricula, and training workshops for schools, organizations, communities, and Resilience, Inc. curriculum department employees. 

    - Develop assessment tools, surveys, and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and impact of SEL programs, gathering feedback and data to inform continuous improvement. 

    - Stay updated on SEL research, best practices, and emerging trends in education and mental health to inform program development and strategic planning.

     - Collaborate with the content team to create resources, materials, and content related to SEL, mental health, and well-being for diverse audiences. 

    - Engage in advocacy, outreach, and partnership-building efforts to promote SEL awareness, equity, and inclusion within schools, communities, and policy initiatives.

    Requirements:


    - Knowledge of evidence-based SEL frameworks, competencies (e.g., self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision-making), and strategies for promoting social-emotional well-being. 

    - Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders, build relationships, and lead collaborative initiatives.

     - Experience with data collection, assessment, and evaluation methods to measure program outcomes and impact.

     - Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in SEL practices and initiatives.

     - Passion for mental health advocacy, social impact, and supporting the holistic development of individuals and communities.
