    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership and Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to the ED and support the organization’s leadership.
    • Communication and Relationships: Maintain strong communication with board members, community partners, and stakeholders, including young families and funders.
    • Board Development: Assist in recruiting diverse board members and consulting on board roles and responsibilities.
    • Performance Evaluation: Coordinate with the Board Chair to conduct annual performance evaluations of the CEO.
    • Governance and Oversight: Review and approve the annual budget, financials, and contracts, ensuring legal and fiduciary responsibilities are met.
    • Meeting Facilitation: Plan and co-facilitate board and committee meetings, ensuring board resolutions are executed.
    • Fundraising: Collaborate with the Board Chair and ED to generate substantial revenue and engage major donors and funders.
