Grassroot Givers

  • About Us

Grassroot Givers makes the connection between the needs in our community and those who have resources to share. Our focus is to always give with dignity, to empower individuals and families who are trying to improve their lives.

We have two main programs, the Community Store and the Book Project. Serving 600 people per month, our Community Store provides those in need with clothing, personal care items, and other necessities. Our Book Project provides the Capital Region with books, giving to individuals, families, schools and literacy programs. Since 2011, we have provided the community with over 95,000 books. We also currently maintain 10 Little Free Libraries throughout Albany.

All of our services are free of charge, and we currently partner with 50 other organizations throughout the Capital Region.
