  • About Us

Mission Statement: "to empower youth who have the fewest resources to reach their greatest potential."

About Us: FYI empowers immigrant, first generation and bicultural youth in Washington Heights by providing the tools they need for lifelong success.

FYI runs free afterschool and summer programs across three sites serving 1,400 children ages 5 to 18. We are a second home to our participants, and provide them with academic support, college preparation, exposure to cultural and arts activities, and leadership opportunities through community service projects. Our bilingual, bicultural staff nurtures and guides our youth with compassion and understanding.
