YouthBuild Just-A-Start AmeriCorps Program

  • About Us

YouthBuild Just-A-Start (YB JAS) is a comprehensive youth development program which engages 17-24 year-old out-of-school youth from greater Metro North Boston area in obtaining their academic credential (adult diploma and GED), developing their career, employability and leadership skills, and renovating affordable housing. Located in Cambridge, MA, and a part of Just-A-Start Corporation, a non-profit community development corporation, we offer a 12-24 month program and serve approximately 50 youth annually. This means manageable education/training group size, the ability to really know our students, and the expectation that all staff do know and support our students. We offer and require a team approach. YB JAS is an AmeriCorps Program, a founding member of the Massachusetts YouthBuild Coalition, and an Accredited Affiliate of YouthBuild USA.
