  • About Us

Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County builds simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with those in need. Families purchase the houses at no profit, through an interest-free mortgage from Habitat. Habitat does not give houses away; rather, it builds alongside those who demonstrate a need and willingness to partner with Habitat. Homeowners invest four hundred hours of their own “sweat equity” labor into the houses. Through this approach, Habitat gives partner families a hand up, restoring the hope and dignity that poverty can strip away.
