    The Southern Poverty Law Center,located in Montgomery, Alabama, is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to combating intolerance and discrimination through litigation and education. The Center has four main projects: (1) the Intelligence Project, which monitors and investigates the radical right;(2) Teaching Tolerance, an education project that helps teachers foster equity, respect, and understanding in their classrooms and beyond; (3) Tolerance.org, a web-based project dedicated to fighting hate and promoting tolerance; and (4) the legal program, whose mission is to advance and protect the rights of minorities, the poor, and victims of injustice in significant civil rights and social justice litigation.
