  • About Us

    Youth Health Service, established in 1978, provides excellence in children's behavioral health services, family support and early childhood education.

    Behavioral Health:

    Behavioral health services are provided to children and teens from 3 to 18 years of age, young adults through age 24 with trauma and parents and other caregivers. Our main facility is located in Elkins, WV, however, we serve 5 additional counties in WV (Barbour, Pocahontas, Tucker, Upshur and Lewis county).

    Home Ties Child Development Center:

    YHS's day care (HTCDC) provides quality child care from 6 weeks through 12 years. It is a nationally accredited center by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

    Home Ties Strengthening Families Center:

    A free community resource where families can find helpful resources not only in times of need, but as part of regular, day-to-day life. Services include parent information, referral services and support groups.

    We are open Monday-Friday:

    Home Ties Child Development Center: 6:45am-5:30pm

    Behavioral Health: 8:30am-5:30pm or by appointment
