Jewish Council for Education and Research (The Great Schlep)

  • About Us

The Jewish Council for Education & Research is an organization that uses humor, viral video, celebrity, and social media to promote voter engagement in support of Barack Obama. JCER's premier initiative in the 2008 election was The Great Schlep with Sarah Silverman, a humorous video that called on young people to convince their grandparents in Florida to vote Obama. The video generated 300 million global media impressions. For the 2012 election, JCER is creating high-profile initiatives in the spirit of The Great Schlep, reenergizing Obama's base and shoring up support for his campaign in swing states.
