We are Cats of Meow York, a Trap-Neuter-Return-Monitor based cat rescue located in Woodhaven, Queens in New York City.
Our rescue was formerly known as The Crazy Cat Family, which was founded in 2017 by Farhana Haq. In addition to TNRM, we specialize in neonatal kitten care. We have fixed hundreds of cats and kittens locally in Queens, and in other parts of NYC. Feral cats are trapped, neutered/spayed, released and monitored within their colonies after. Run by community members and volunteers, Cats of Meow York is on its way to becoming a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in NYC.
Cats of Meow York is a cat rescue that aims to neuter/spay feral cats and provide forever homes for adoptable cats and kittens. One of our key goals is to reduce NYC’s stray cat population through Trap Neuter Return (TNR) efforts. We also rehabilitate homeless, abandoned, and injured cats. We hope to introduce and help implement legislation providing low-cost vetting services to the local community in the near future.
