Play Your Part

  • About Us

    Our Mission

Play Your Part is dedicated to producing captivating theatre while providing a venue for new and classic voices that move our audiences to action, in support of causes that align with our core beliefs.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. ~Aristotle

At Play Your Part, we strive to embody this belief with every task we perform.

    • Produce work with uncompromising standards of performance and production, focusing on innovative and creative approaches to storytelling
    • Invest in our people, paying artists and administrators sustainable wages to continue producing the highest quality work possible
    • Inspire action, giving our audience direct access to engaging with local organizations and charities that make a positive impact on the lives of those in our local and global community

    Our Vision

Our productions are reflective of and created for our city, engaging all demographics, in spaces that serve the pieces and inspire us. We identify causes that matter and stories that need telling through new, existing, and devised work that compels people to act.

Our events reach into our diverse neighborhoods to engage and activate our communities. Everything we produce benefits local charities as well as the artists creating the work. Our goal, beginning in Seattle, is to develop a model for producing compelling theatre that taps into the ancient ritual of the experience and strengthens the bonds we have with our neighbors. We aim to replicate this in major cities around the world, engaging us locally and unifying us globally.
