  • About Us

Inspire. Educate. Take Action. These three words guide The Institute for Civic Leadership in every initiative we undertake and are the foundation of our commitment to motivate and train the next generation of civic leaders.

The Institute for Civic Leadership provides a framework of programs that inspire and educate students to develop leadership skills. Students are empowered to use their leadership talents to take action and become involved in the search for sustainable solutions to the many challenges that threaten the well-being of communities around the world.

Our programs gives students opportunities to develop their leadership skills through online courses, conferences, and leadership roles in ICL programs such as organizing an inspirational speakers series and student forums, planning and executing service learning projects, mentoring younger students, and more. We offer a fellows program for students, membership for ICL partner schools and a system of certification and awards for student accomplishments. The ICL organizes an annual Dare to Dream conference that involves inspirational speakers and students from around the world who share project ideas and results. The ICL has partner schools in New York, Lima, London and Victoria. The ICL is setting up a leadership academy in Vancouver, BC.
