About Us
BEHOLD! NEW LEBANON is founding the nation's first living museum of contemporary rural American life. When visitors go to historic living history museums they meet costumed interpreters posing as characters from yesteryear who demonstrate old world skills. By contrast, visitors to Behold! New Lebanon will encounter townspeople – in their homes, farms, places of work and public spaces – who will share the skills, knowledge and ingenuity honed over their lifetimes and often over generations of country living.
