About Us
Berkeley Endowment Management Company (BEMCO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was created in 2009 to oversee the UC Berkeley Foundation’s $1.5Bn of endowment assets. With offices in San Francisco and an eight person team, BEMCO manages a portfolio that spans all asset classes in both the public and private markets. BEMCO provides professional stewardship of endowment gifts given to the UC Berkeley Foundation in support of Berkeley’s mission of teaching, research, and public service.
