    The FCCP is a unique program conducting, synthesizing, and communicating forest carbon with an aim of ensuring that policies and practices are scientifically-informed and have the greatest potential to tackle climate challenges for people and the planet. Since its establishment, the FCCP has a track record for delivering impactful projects and activities related to nature-based climate solutions in the US and abroad. The FCCP facilitates synergistic collaboration between MSU faculty and external partners including public agencies, private actors, academia, and non-governmental organizations. By doing so, the FCCP addresses its mission to contribute research, synthesis, and training to meet the knowledge needs of professionals and the public on forest carbon and its relationship to mitigating climate change.
