Project Coordinator- (Part-time) – Membership and Events
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
FUNCTION: Primary responsibility is providing excellent customer service to the National Dental Association’s members and event support.
National Dental Association offers a flexible part-time schedule of up to 25 hours per week in our Bowie, MD office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Updates membership data, entries, changes, queries, reports, records, hard files, and output from the membership database. Process payments for dues (new and renewals). Handle all data aspects of the member database, including managing membership and non-member database records. Maintain mail and reference queries and reports. Prepare monthly membership number reports. Administer dues renewal process: generate invoices, coordinate mailing, enter dues renewals, and coordinate receipts.
Works with Annual Conference Meeting planner to assist with processing registration, hotel/on-site logistics for the conference, preparation of on-site conference program book and content, conference advertising & sponsorships, pre-convention logistics (signs, plaques, badges, registration packet materials, etc.), onsite and post-convention activities.
Provides administrative support. Marketing consultant in the areas of web advertising and non-dues revenue generation. Assists with the delivery of marketing plans, including e-blasts and telemarketing.
Other duties assigned.
SKILLS:
• Proven data input accuracy and attention to detail
• Good typing skills
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer hardware, databases, networks and
applications software in a Windows environment. Experience with Salesforce and Constant Contact is a plus.
• Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills
• Maintains a professional and positive demeanor
• Must be able to function as part of a team
• Capable of setting priorities when multiple demands are present
• Strong customer/member service skills
• Willingness and flexibility
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
High School education with computer literacy; 3-9 months experience preferred.
SUPERVISION
Under general supervision of the Executive Director, proceeds alone on regular duties, referring
questionable cases to the supervisor.
Travel is required for the Annual meeting. The 2024 meeting is July 24th – 28th in Las Vegas, NV.
