    The International Association of Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA) is a charitable, education, non-profit membership association. It was established in 1989 to increase the involvement of African Americans and other people of African heritage in international affairs. BPIA implements its educational, economic, cultural exchange, and human resources development objectives through education programs, newsletters, professional networking and outreach activities, a mentors forum, scholarship program and a biennial conference. BPIA is a Federal tax-exempt 501 (c) 3 assocaition.
