Humanities Institute at UT Austin

  • About Us

The mission of the Humanities Institute is to build civic and intellectual community-- within, across, and beyond the University's walls--by bringing people together to explore issues and ideas that matter. Our educational programs, cultural events, and public forums provide participants with stimulating occasions for discovery, dialog, and transformation.

A gateway to the varied resources of the University of Texas at Austin, the Humanities Institute pursues creative partnerships with other institutions and constituencies throughout Central Texas to help citizens and scholars jointly produce better understandings of themselves, others, and the world.
