    The Task Force SIGHT AND LIFE is dedicated to the fight against vitamin A deficiency in developing countries. It is a humanitarian, non-commercial initiative by F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. An estimated 200-300 million children of pre-school age are at risk of vitamin A deficiency. Every year 500,000 of them go blind, most of them dying within weeks from subsequent infections. SIGHT AND LIFE is part of a global effort to fight against vitamin A deficiency.
